〈대화 수행〉은 16mm 필름 위에 여러 장면을 반복적으로 인화하며 구성된 작업이다. 35mm 필름 이미지와 디지털로 촬영한 영상을 다시 손으로 옮기고 겹쳐내는 과정을 통해, 네거티브와 포지티브가 교차하는 리듬과 흐름을 만들어낸다. 장면들은 때때로 겹쳐지고 사라지며, 꿈을 꾸듯 흐린 잔상을 남긴다. 손끝에서 감각된 이미지들은 반복 속에서 직조되지만, 매체를 거치는 사이 왜곡되고 낯선 기억으로 오해된다. 감각과 해석이 빠르게 뒤섞이는 오늘의 시각 환경 속에서, 이 개인적인 수행과 기록은 다시 물질과 기억 사이의 대화를 시도한다.
〈Dialogue Practice〉 is composed through the repeated contact printing of various scenes onto 16mm film. By manually transferring and layering 35mm film images and digitally recorded video, the work creates rhythms and flows where negative and positive images intersect. Scenes overlap and vanish, leaving behind blurred afterimages like those from a dream. Images, once sensed through the fingertips, are woven through repetition—only to become distorted and misread as unfamiliar memories in the process of mediation. Amid today’s visual landscape, where perception and interpretation rapidly entangle, this personal act of practice and recording attempts to reopen a dialogue between material and memory.
